LENA

Lena (f.k.a. Leah) was rescued in January of 2025 at the age of ~7 years old. Lena was living in Tampa, FL where she and her sister endured horrible living conditions. They were living outside in a fenced yard and were forced to stay outside during two intense hurricanes. The yard flooded and the fence was damaged in the storms, and Lena got her leg caught in some fencing trying to escape. The fence was cut but a piece of fencing remained in her leg for over a month which caused a terrible infection. Before these living conditions, she grew up and lived in even worse conditions at a hoarder where there were 20 dogs/wolf-dogs living in 3 small enclosures full of standing mud, feces and urine, and little access to food and clean water. Needless to say, Lena is timid around people! But here at Wolf PAWS, we are dedicated to providing her with the life she deserves - clean bedding, daily meals, fresh water, Orion as her companion, and lots of human love! She is also receive proper vet care. She is already starting to trust her caregivers and take treats out of our hands! And in the mornings, she is howling with the pack!
